The Wave I Survived (30"x40")

The Wave I Survived is a reflection of what it feels like to grieve-to be pulled under, to come up gasping, and to wonder if you'll make it through. This Dutch pour, shaped like a crashing wave, flows across a soft blue background in ocean tones of deep blues, greens, white, and touches of gold. It captures the emotional rhythm of loss; unpredictable, powerful, and ever-moving. 

In my darkest moments of grief, I often described the pain as waves-some days calm, others crashing-but always coming. And while the wave didn't hold me, God did. This piece is a tribute to that truth; even when the tide rises and you feel like you're drowning, grace can still reach you.

For anyone who's faced the storm, been brought to their knees, and still found the strength to rise-not alone, but carried.
